The world is slowly returning to normal, with only seven countries on the red-light list (as of 11/10/21).

Current red-light list:

• Colombia
• Dominican Republic
• Ecuador
• Haiti
• Panama
• Peru
• Venezuela

As a reminder, if you have been to these countries in the past 10 days, you will not be allowed travel to the UK unless you are a UK or Irish resident. More information on this can be found on the government website.

What’s changing this autumn?

If you’re fully vaccinated, you’ll no longer have to take a PCR test two days before you arrive in the UK, instead you can simply take a lateral flow test, which is a lot simpler and cheaper! If you’re not fully vaccinated (and you’re over the age of 18) you’ll have to isolate for 10 days upon arriving back in the UK and take a PCR test.

On another happy note, from November, fully vaccinated UK passengers will be able to travel to the United States!

So where should you go on your holiday this autumn/winter? We don’t blame you for wanting to get out of the cold UK, so here’s our top picks.

The Canary Islands are always a safe bet, especially with constant flights between them and all the UK’s airports. Whether you fancy Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote or La Palma, they won’t disappoint.

Has lockdown given you a taste for something more exotic? New resorts have been opening on the Mediterranean coast and along the Arabian Coast. Why not travel to Egypt to see the pyramids or the United Arab Emirates for a different type of sun holiday?

Don’t fancy a holiday abroad? Not to panic, here’s a couple of things you can do in the UK that we’re more than happy to take you to.

High street shopping in Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham, and all other large cities. There’s no better way to shop for your Christmas presents than on the high street.

Take a historical break and visit Lincoln Cathedral and Castle! You can’t do much better than these steep, cobbled streets. Did you know that Lincoln Cathedral was built in 1088 and was the tallest building in the world for 238 years? If Lincoln is too far, why not visit the King Richard III Visitor Centre in Leicester?
